The excellent results of KLIM-THERAPY in pediatric patients form the foundation of a new modified special rehabilitation program for adults after stroke KLIM-THERAPY 18 +.
This innovative and highly effective method is a comprehensive approach to the treatment of patients with neuromuscular deficits:
- Traumatic brain injury
- Stroke
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Cerebral palsy
- Parkinson's disease
The therapeutic programme KLIM-THERAPY 18 + helps to improve not only physical, but also mental abilities of the client, their self-sufficiency, the ability to change their body coordination in space, change pathological reflexes, restore correct movement patterns, and enhance muscle strength.
A key element in rehabilitation after stroke is building an individual rehabilitation plan, which is based on targeted medical neurological examination and a comprehensive kinesiological examination, including instrumental diagnostics.
What stage of the disease is the treatment appropriate for?
Clients can use the specialised KLIM-THERAPY 18 + programme not only in the initial stage of the disease - immediately after acute treatment in the hospital (which contributes to more rapid regression of neurological symptoms, reduces the risk of secondary complications, increases treatment efficacy and alleviates neurological deficit), but also in sub-chronic and chronic disease period.
Length of the stay
4 weeks - if completes the program for the first time
2 weeks - if has already undergone the first 4 week stay
The basis of the treatment programme
This extra rehabilitation programme, based on the individual needs of the client, differs from the normal standard rehabilitation not only in the intensity of exercise, but also the variety of special techniques and tools (stabilisation suit, a special exercise box equipped with various tools), used by the physiotherapist for several hours of individual therapeutic physical exercise.
The basis of the rehabilitation programme KLIM -therapy is the use of a special stabilising suit.
The special stabilising suit greatly increases the therapeutic effect of exercise on neurophysiological damage to the nervous system and facilitates training of motor skills such as sitting, standing, walking, etc. Practising physical activities and therapy with this suit is much easier, smoother and requires less effort. The suit includes a system of support elements which are mutually connected by elastic straps and elements used for the correction of the lower limbs and trunk, holding the head in space. The principle of the therapeutic effect of the suit is based on the targeted correction of movement and posture using the adjustable support elements. This leads to the normalisation of afferent stimuli and impact on the motor centres in terms of recovery of disturbed functions. Existing pathological synergies are cancelled and new standard sequence of reflexes is created.
An integral part of the healing process is the natural healing source - iodine-bromine brine and a number of supporting procedures.
The aim of this programme is to achieve the maximum possible improvement in physical abilities as quickly as possible; to change incorrect movement patterns; to improve self-sufficiency and harmonise the client's psyche. The programme assists clients in adapting to a change of lifestyle and returning to active life and work.
